04 June 2012 | News story

As the World Conservation Congress draws closer, you can now view what’s on and when. Regularly updated, the Online Programme is a handy companion to organize your schedule in Jeju and make the most out of your experience.

The Online Programme contains useful tools to help you sieve through the large number of events in an easy and intuitive way. You can decide to browse through the entire list of events or filter them by text search, session details, keyword or language. This will tell you all you need to know in terms of times, dates, venues and the types of sessions. Detailed information can be accessed by clicking on the titles of the events.

Customize your agenda
Make up your own personal agenda by selecting the events you are interested in. This selection will then be saved in your registration page and can be edited freely. You can then save a PDF version for you to consult in your own time or share with colleagues. You can even export your personal choice to your electronic calendar.

Get in touch with peers
In addition to giving you the detailed schedule of the Congress, the Online Programme features an invaluable networking function. This allows you to search other participants and get in touch with them. Once both you and the other person agree to a meeting request, your respective email addresses will be disclosed so you can arrange a place. You can select the time and date in your networking tool so that it will be added to your personal agenda.

Choose electronic over paper
Transferring your personal agenda to your e-calendar means you can group your Congress activities with your working schedule, facilitating your daily organization. If you have a smart phone, you will be able to carry your very own, tailor-made Congress programme with you at all times during the event – without wasting any paper. Each event has its own Twitter hashtag as well, so you can add session-specific comments and interact with others live.
