…And it’s a wrap! Conservation Campus complete

On Tuesday, the Conservation Campus closed its doors for the last time after five days of outstanding events that provided in-depth training focused on the IUCN Programme.
Between 7 and 11 September, 45 sessions were run in the beautiful surroundings of the Lotte Hotel with more than 1,000 participants and trainers. As the days passed, many people were repeat customers, easily spotted with two, three, four or even a full complement of the brightly coloured Conservation Campus stickers on their name badge.
The sessions ran for four and eight hours each day and provided participants with hands-on training in subjects as diverse as ecopsychology, environmental law and engaging businesses for conservation.
“We couldn’t be happier with how the Conservation Campus went,” said Rod Abson, Manager of the Conservation Campus.
“Every participant seemed to really benefit from it and we received a lot of direct feedback from them as they filed out of the rooms at the end of the day. Time and again, we were told what a great standard the training was, and many were still deep in discussion as they left the Conservation Campus!”
The focus for the Conservation Campus team now is to broaden the benefit of these training sessions by turning some of them into e-learning courses.
