Mamadou Diallo is a Senegalese lawyer specializing in environmental law. He is a member and Secretary General of the Association Sénégalaise des Amis de la Nature (ASAN), a Senegalese NGO, which is a Member of IUCN.

Mr Diallo is a member of the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication, was Chair of the Senegal National Committee of IUCN Members from 1996 to 2012, Chair of the Regional Committee of IUCN Members in West Africa (CMAO) from 1998 to 2006 and has been the Chair of the Regional Committee of IUCN Members in Central and West Africa (CREMACO) since June 2010. Moreover, since January 2004 he has been the Coordinator of the Maison des Amis de la Nature Alioune Mbor Diagne [Alioune Mbor Diagne House of Friends of Nature] Project of Senegal, where he is developing the concept of ecotourism, in conjunction with the International Friends of Nature Association.

A very open man, always ready to listen to people, Mamadou Diallo is a key player in development issues. He was a Member of the National Assembly of Senegal from 2007 to 2012 and the first Mayor of his Commune, Kidira, in 2009.

Strongly committed to environmental issues, he is a Member of the Réseau des Parlementaires en Environnement du Sénégal [Network of Members of Parliament for the Protection of the Environment in Senegal], and is the Chair of its Commission Biodiversité et Aires Protégées [Biodiversity and Protected Areas Commission]. A local and national elected representative, Mr Diallo is a friendly, approachable man who cares very deeply about nature.
